Safe on the slope
A nationwide educational programme aimed at children aged 4 to 14. The aim of the programme is to promote sport and to teach the youngest how to behave properly on the slope while skiing and snowboarding, so as to genuinely reduce the number of accidents among children.

About the programme
As part of the project, the STRAMA School published the Skier's and Snowboarder's Code of Conduct, which took the form of a story for young athletes entitled "The Adventures of Stramus Bear".
The story was written on the basis of the 10 slope safety rules of the International Ski Federation (FIS) and published as a book to read and to colour in. The safety rules are presented in a form that is easy for children to understand and remember, and Stramus Bear accompanies the young readers throughout their educational adventure.
Reach of the campaign
Over two editions the project has covered 20 000 children of nursery and early school age. Several dozen nursery schools and schools across the country take part in the project.
Stramus Bear, together with his instructor team, visits selected nursery schools to hand the "Skier's and Snowboarder's Code of Conduct" to the youngest in person. The programme will also cover all participants of the ski and snowboard courses run by the STRAMA School.

Sport and experience
The STRAMA School does its best to create the finest conditions for young athletes as they learn. We want it to bring them a lot of joy and put a smile on their faces, so that through play we motivate them to keep working — but above all, our priority is children's safety.
Our instructor team are people with experience of working with children; all of them hold SITN PZN instructor qualifications. The educational campaign "Safe on the Slope with Stramus Bear" comes from our concern for the future generation of skiers and snowboarders. The aim of the programme is to reduce the number of accidents on the slopes involving children.
Who is Stramus Bear
Stramus Bear is a friend to children and the patron of the training programme run by the STRAMA School.
The bear lives in a cottage at the foot of Nosal. He has skied since he was very young and loves it, which is why every winter he walks among the pistes, teaching and cheering on the children who are skiing. Before the start, together with the supervising instructors, he leads a warm-up for the children and teaches them the basic exercises that will help them prepare well for their runs and avoid possible injuries.
Stramus Bear will stay with the children and keep his fingers firmly crossed for them, and above all he will bring a friendly atmosphere of fun.
Teach your child to ride safely
The ski and snowboard courses for children run by the STRAMA School are part of teaching the youngest to ride safely and behave properly on the slope.
